A Book is Like a Garden
I love reading. Each time I read a new book, I am stretched as a person. I am exposed to new thoughts, I ponder over them, evaluate them, dream nearly them and even encompass.
“To read is to fly.” – A. C. Grayling
I am whisked away to new places to enjoy conversations with new friends. There are passages in a book that I will read a couple of times over and over again; and even out aloud to myself. There is foreign condolement in listening to words said, its like the sound of the words makes them powerful and meaningful. Like listening to a a powerful orator.
“What is reading just silent conversation?” ~ Walter Savage Landor
I am definitely entertained, often very inspired, and thoughtful about what was said even long after I have finished the volume.
“A volume is like a garden, carried in the pocket.” — Chinese Maxim
E’er since I was a picayune girl I take been an avid reader. I use to get a small pocket money from my male parent to buy anything I fancied. I would utilise that coin to buy a book. Though the coin was plenty to buy a lot of candy simply just plenty to buy a book. A book which I finished reading in one-2 days. I would so reread the same book (or ane of my before ones) maybe a few times till it was fourth dimension for the next month, and next book.
“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Isle.” — Walt Disney
In case you are wondering why I did that in that location was a reason for it. The public libraries were (still are) few and geographically far spread in my hometown. My Mother with five kids had plenty on her hands from daily chores to drive me to i. Perchance the bigger reason was that my grandmother idea I read too much for a girl. She insisted that reading would really not practise me whatsoever good and I would grow up with some wild ideas about the world. To scare me she would tell me very often that I would get bullheaded from all this reading. Nada scared me I read even past my bedtime, in bathroom if I could help it.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that yous learn, the more places you lot’ll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!
I loved reading, books, magazines, newspapers, actually, I liked reading everything I mayhap could. I read ingredients off the back of jars while I went grocery shopping with my female parent, I even read of the cereal box while I was having breakfast. I read sign boards, I read instructions in a manual. I simply knew some of the strangest stuff because I read off everything. I knew names and backdrop of many chemicals and I estimate that was a reason why I found chemistry so interesting later on in life.
“The man who does not read good books is no better than the man who tin can’t.” — Marker Twain
The happiest mean solar day in my life was the solar day I discovered an open up stall selling used books. In the cost of ane new book I could buy half-dozen-7 used books and even get a gratis one at times because the hawker was tickled by my enthusiasm.
“If a book is well written, I always find it too short” – Jane Austen
I would talk about the books I read with anybody who would listen, but specially with my school friend. We spent hours talking about the characters and their decisions, we even challenged each other to read more than, and often had arguments over our version of why a graphic symbol did something.
“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home.” ― Anna Quindlen, How Reading Inverse My Life

Books were my escape to a world different from mine, but of people just like me. I could experience their joys, their sorrows, struggles and accomplishments. I was accompanying them to places I had never been. I was on an run a risk which I most likely will never take, the pirates, the mysteries, the thieves and smugglers.
“No book is really worth reading at the historic period of ten which is not equally and oft far more worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.” C.Southward. Lewis
I started reading from Enyid Blyton books I still love reading them. The Famous Five and the Magic Faraway tree are my favourite though I loved every book she wrote. Harry Potter series was my most magical escape from this world. I loved every discussion.
“A skillful volume is an event in my life.” ―Stendhal, The Red and the Black
I think I am an affiliation of the books I have read over the years. My dreams are like dreams of the friends I met in the books.
“Fill your business firm with stacks of books, in all the crannies and all the nooks.” — Dr. Seuss
I love my books, actually physically I refuse to function with them. It may sound strange, only I actually practise. I still have a large collections of books. To me books are like friends how can you part with a friend or give it abroad. So I collected many. Then I read somewhere that volume on shelf is wasted. It had me thinking and restless. It is true. I only got to read because of the people who gave away their books to be resold. I do admit that I feel distressing to part with a good friend but now I plan to do something near it. Would like donate to a schoolhouse library.
“A book lying idle on a shelf is wasted armament. Like money, books must be kept in constant circulation… A volume is not only a friend, it makes friends for you. When y’all have possessed a book with mind and spirit, you are enriched. But when you lot pass it on you are enriched threefold”. Henry Miller, The Books in my Life

Books possess unique power to entertain us, comfort us, claiming us, and inspire us. Reading is truly amazing. With life’southward many distractions especially young kids it is so easy to put aside reading. I wish I hadn’t done that at present that I call back back I have wasted and so many years of my life. There was then much I could take learned, so much I could have experienced and then much meliorate a person I could accept been.
“Y’all cannot open a book without learning something.” ~ Confucius

2017 is the year I become back to reading, maybe not a book a mean solar day but definitely a volume a calendar week. Whether it’s a thrilling mystery, a funny serial, adventure or philosophical volume I want to read and read. Delight give me some suggestions on where to start. I take my cup of coffee ready and my listen and middle open to magical journeys.
“I
don’t believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I practice believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.” – J. K. Rowling
